Capcom is difficult to start new projects
November 25, 2009 – 11:00 pmThe Japanese company Capcom recently decided to complain about the complexity of running the original game. Start a new project is always fraught with enormous difficulties, but Japanese firms have long been able to create their own series, which is rapidly gaining a worldwide reputation. Suffice it to recall the Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Lost Planet, Dead Rising, Okami, Megaman.
Only in the current generation, the company presented to the court players Okami, Dead Rising , Lost Planet, and revived the Street Fighter. Sadly, the new names today sound less and less, but many publishers are trying to break this vicious circle. Electronic Arts, for example, has created a Skate, Dead Space and Mirror’s Edge.
To unleash a new project requires substantial investments in marketing, but they were later repaid with interest. Perhaps if Capcom has spent on advertising Okami as much as on Resident Evil 5, the magical adventures of the wolf could be almost more popular than the endless battles with the zombies.
