Russia’s Opera Mini users prefer social networks

This is stated in a new report on the use of mobile Internet, released by Opera on the basis of statistics Opera Mini. The number of Web pages viewed in November rose by 9,5%, while the volume of downloaded data – by 8,3% compared with October 2009.
41,7 million users watched 18.8 billion web pages. This is 9,5% more than in October 2009 and at 231% – than in November 2008. In November, Opera Mini users generated more than 285 million MB of traffic, which turned out to be 8.3% higher than in October, and at 213% – the results of November 2008. Opera Mini allows you to compress data up to 90%. Thus, the total amount of information processed by the browser, is 2.6 petabytes.
In the list of Top 10 countries by the number of users of Opera Mini has changed. Now it includes (in descending order): Russia, Indonesia, India, China, Ukraine, South Africa, USA, UK, Vietnam and Poland. The rapid growth in the number of users in Vietnam in November has allowed the region to move to 9-th position, relegating Poland.
Number viewed with Opera Mini web pages from Russia for the year increased by 101.1% and the number of unique users browser country – at 82,6%. On average, each user per month, looked through 425 pages, and each page in an average of 20 KB (after compression). Top 10 most visited Web sites in Russia (by number of unique users of Opera Mini) includes vkontakte.ru, odnoklassniki.ru, yandex.ru, mail.ru, wikipedia.org, google.com, spaces.ru, my.opera.com, wapos.ru and seclub.org.
number of users of Opera Mini in Ukraine for the year increased by 122.7%, and viewed their pages – to 243,6%. Each user has viewed an average of 691 options, and the average volume of 18 KB page (after compression). YouTube first entered the Top 10 most visited sites in Ukraine.
