Most games sold in Japan in 2009
December 30, 2009 – 12:26 amThe company ASCII Media Works published list of the 30 best-selling games in Japan for through 2009. It so happened that the first line in the list took Dragon Quest IX, which went on to sell in excess of 4 million copies. The second step wrested Pokémon Heart Gold/Soul Silver on Nintendo with a circulation of 3.3 million copies. Advertised in the West, New Super Mario Bros. Wii at home was sold in the amount of 1.8 million units. Circulation: Final Fantasy XIII on 17 December 2009 have amounted to 1.45 million units. Note that almost all projects on the list – exclusives available only on one platform.
note that Resident Evil 5 (Biohazard 5) debuted in Japan is not so loudly, as in the West. It sold half a million boxes of this fighter. This is about comparable sales with Ryu ga Gotoku 3 (Yakuza 3) from Sega, which has managed to disperse in the amount of 525,826 units. Even Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has managed to achieve more impressive results – 571,981 boxes.
