The beta version of Windows Home Server “Vail” is available for download

After nearly a three-month lull for information about the new version of Windows Home Server, codenamed “Vail, Microsoft is available for download the official beta version of the OS.

Updated WHS is built on Windows Server 2008 R2 and has the functions of streaming media data, improved backup and recovery, advanced design and configuration tools for partners. Recall that the kernel of Windows Server 2008 R2 includes work exclusively in the 64-bit environment, is expected to release two versions of the system – Home Standard and Home Premium, the requirements for hardware are as follows: CPU 2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, hard disk capacity 120 GB with NTFS.
